I heard Helen give a great speech to a group of honor students at the JC Raulston Arboretum in Raleigh, NC. Her story and background was entertaining and insightful, and her mission to elevate the gardens of North Carolina to a national status was inspiring for us all.

We had Helen come speak at our Pi Alpha Xi initiation banquet this semester. Pi Alpha Xi is a horticulture honors fraternity. When Helen speaks, her love and enthusiasm for plants is contagious! She is a wonderful speaker who has a beautiful story on how her passion became horticulture. She is very inspiring, humorous and a true plant lover. I would definitely ask her to speak again and I love going to all her presentations.
