Theresa Mieseler began her horticulture career at the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum in 1969. In 1977, Theresa and her husband, Jim, founded and operated Shady Acres Herb Farm in Chaska, Minnesota until 2016. Currently Theresa currently writes a monthly herbal newsletter and is the author of Beyond Rosemary, Basil, and Thyme. Theresa has written numerous magazines articles and presents programs focused on herbs. Since 1977 Theresa has been active in the Herb Society of America. In 2010 Theresa was honored to be the recipient of the Nancy Putnam Award for Excellence in Horticulture from HSA. She is also a past vice-president and member of the International Herb Association. In 1991 Theresa introduced ‘Shady Acres’ rosemary to the herb trade.
