She's the best!

Paula Locklair from Winston-Salem, NC - 09/13/2016 16:07:22

Quite simply, Andrea Wulf is an excellent speaker who captivates her audiences! We have had Andrea to Old Salem Museums & Gardens three times to speak about three of her books, and she has developed quite a following around here. Her lectures are beautifully illustrated, very informative, and perfect in length and delivery. Because she is such a delight, she engages with the audience like few people can. We look forward to the next book and having her back!

Wonderful Lecture!

Katie Jacob from Palm Beach, FL - 09/01/2016 11:34:50

A brilliant and amazing lecture by Andrea Wulf on The Invention of Nature. The audience was captivated by the scientific work and life of ‘rock-star scientist’ Alexander Von Humboldt. She brought his story to life for the members of the Preservation Foundation of Palm Beach. She is brilliant speaker and scholar, and we look forward to her future work!

Kansas City Public Library Thrilled by Wulf

Carrie Coogan from Kansas City - 09/01/2016 11:17:29

Alexander von Humboldt was, in his time, one of the most interesting men in the world, and the night that Andrea Wulf came to speak at the Kansas City Public Library in Kansas City, Missouri about him--- we all discovered why.
Wulf takes you inside the life of von Humboldt, into the 19th-century explorer and naturalist who climbed volcanoes and raced through anthrax-infested Siberia. She takes us back in time and introduces us to a man who was ahead of his time--from his scientific discoveries that changed the way we see the natural world--- to his noted similarities between climate zones across the world. von Humboldt, so long ago, became one of the first true environmentalists, by predicting human-induced climate change. In her presentation, author Andrea Wulf examines the man – now largely forgotten outside of his native Germany – and his achievements-- she brings him--even if it's just for a short time--back to life to inspire us all.

Wondrous Wulf!

Sean Sawyer from Hudson, NY - 09/01/2016 08:57:54

Andrea lectured for The Olana Partnership in April 2016, and not only was her lecture on Humboldt and Frederic Church intellectually stimulating and masterfully presented, but she drew one of our largest audiences ever. People were lined up outside with copies of her books in hand, and she graciously signed them all. Andrea Wulf is the very exemplar of a writer and lecturer who combines intellectual depth with a scintillating presentation - she is a wonder!
